We’d like to announce a featured artist today. For this we have to blame The Artist as he’s a nutty hip-hop head (his own words). We’ve been talking to some Finnish hip hop artists, and you can hear that in our teaser trailer, but being from the UK The Artist constantly claims that UK Hip Hip is the best in the world… so he’s been pestering some people that he follows thanks to the modern marvel of Twitter. Amazingly, the power of twitter means we managed to get hold of some exclusive music from a respected beat-maker who goes by the name Ghost. Ghost was approached for his style of music, we think it works well with our theme. He also happens to make some very nice beats….

UK branch report
Hello there pie-deniers… it’s The Artist here, in residence at my third office location of the year. We at No More Pie started out with an intention for our company to operate from anywhere anytime (with decent internet connection) and for July I’m going to be based in rainy Great Britain. The interesting thing about that is it means a decidedly average internet connection- with a monthly data limit of 10Gb! Can you believe that? Some of our team enjoy way more freedom- such as our Berlin based agent, who makes do with 100Mbit and unlimited data…
So- what am I doing and how are things in general at NMP you ask? Well, we’ve been up to our necks in the game- some deep re-written code of the game, and some massive discussions (arguments, some might say) about our game! We’re very keen to make the right core design decisions, and create something fun to show the world. I’m taking the opportunity this month to make an official NMP appearance at the Develop Conference in Brighton next week. If any of you are there, be sure to contact me (on our twitter) so you can find out just how handsome I am in person…. haha not really, instead you might have a chance to see the current build of our game, so you can give us valuable feedback perhaps? My main tasks for the past few months have been to help our team of awesome interns to create content for this project, we really don’t know what we’d do without the students of this world and we have some fantastic people working for No More Pie. Let’s all have a cheer for them! Enjoy your summer job, if you are also a student.
The weather here in Britain is not looking so great right now- very wet- but we’d all like to wish you a happy summer holiday wherever you are in the world! You might see a few pics that I post here from my travels during July, or of course any exciting news that happens.
1st Playable… coming soon.
Hi there. Well- it seems to be March the 2nd, and I believe we mentioned something about a test version? A “First Playable” secret demo version of our game being ready for the end of February? You all remembered right? Oh, well it’s not quite ready yet. We are perfectionists here at No More Pie and we very nearly had something worth sharing (with our close friends)… but then we went back to the drawing board and decided to make it all over again. Dr. Green really got into the art side of things… not normally what he does, but like a whirlwind he smashed in there and created some cool stuff! He got a bit obsessed with “shafts” and you’ll hopefully see what we mean soon. We also needed to make the game actually run properly, so you guys can actually play the darn thing. The Tech Guy was not happy with the “fun” we’d had in Unity… hehe.
So could you hang on just a bit longer? Keep following this blog, our twitter or our Facebook page (look right»>) and you could be invited to try something out in the next few days (or weeks). Meanwhile here are some “shaft” related pics and stuff!
